Parenting teenagers is the most frustrating stage. You are used to your child and you can easily read their moods and moments.

Teenagers are a bit independent and they choose where to exhibit their true colours especially when with peers.

Parents are required to constantly affirm their teenagers and be there for them all the time.

Be intentional in talking and listening to them, listen to verbal and non verbal messages.

Teenagers will always seek validation from their peers and parents are required to be careful when affirming them.

Let them know what you approve and the reasons. Take time to explain to them all the details.

Give them control and allow them a room to make informed decisions.

Train to them to compete within themselves and support them in careers, interest and hobbies as long as your values and principles are not compromised.
