These parenting community guidelines are designed to make Parenting.Africa a useful, respectful and safe place for families to exchange experiences and ideas.
Parenting community guidelines
- Respect people: Debate ideas without harassment, threats, hate speech or degrading personal attacks.
- Protect children: Do not post sexualized, exploitative or dangerously identifying information about minors.
- Protect privacy: Do not publish private addresses, phone numbers, medical records or other sensitive information without appropriate permission.
- Do not impersonate: Do not falsely claim credentials, identities or affiliations.
- Avoid dangerous advice: Do not encourage conduct that creates a serious risk of harm to a child or adult.
- No spam or deceptive promotion: Commercial participation should be relevant and transparent.
Personal stories are not universal advice
Parenting experiences can be valuable without being universally applicable. Be clear when sharing personal experience, especially on health, education, legal or financial matters.
Moderation
We may remove, restrict or refuse content that violates these guidelines or creates a safety, legal, privacy or quality concern. Repeated or serious violations may lead to access restrictions where community features support them.
