1.God is the total owner of human kind.

Children are a Gift From God, Parents are the stewards. A gift of God, means that children are part of the many gifts that God has given us. God may choose not to give one children and give to another. This does not mean that the one who does not have a child, does not have other gifts.

  • Ezekiel 18:4 KJV: Behold, all souls are mine…
  • Psalm 24:1 KJV: The earth is the Lord‘s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
  • Psalm 127:3-5 KJV children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

As the stewards of God’s children, parents should adopt below guidelines based on the bible on parenting.

1.Teach Your Children About God

  • Deuteronomy 11:18-19 KJV: Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall teach them your children, speaking of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
  • Deuteronomy 4:9 KJV: Only take heed to thyself, and keep thy soul diligently, lest thou forget the things which thine eyes have seen, and lest they depart from thy heart all the days of thy life: but teach them thy sons, and thy sons’ sons;
  • Psalm 78:5-8 KJV: For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments: And might not be as their fathers, a stubborn and rebellious generation; a generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not steadfast with God.
  • Proverbs 22:6 KJV: Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
  • Isaiah 38:19 KJV: …the father to the children shall make known thy truth.

  • 2. Discipline Your Children

  •  Proverbs 19:18 KJV: Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.
  •  Proverbs 29:17 KJV: Correct thy son, and he shall give thee rest; yea, he shall give delight unto thy soul.
